DAL has realised the llevaaran wind farm while using KfW funding programme. The site is located approximately 70 kilometres north-east of the city of Kajaani in central Finland. The project has a capacity of 30 MWp and an expected annual output of 90 GWh, which corresponds to the energy consumption of about 30,000 households.

The wind farm was developed by ABO Wind Oy, a 100 % Finnish subsidiary of the German project developer ABO Wind. For DAL, as the energy competence centre of the SparkassenFinanzgruppe, this is the third key growth market, besides France and Germany, where they are working with the project specialists from Wiesbaden.
The partners expect the wind farm to be put into operation at the beginning of 2024. Construction is being carried out on a turnkey basis by a general contractor. The electricity generated is marketed via a 10-year “as-produced PPA” with an international offtaker with a strong credit rating.
